The wooden cabins overlooking the lake are totally dog friendly, the grounds are perfect for a dog walk and the lake got a lot of action with my two swimming spaniels.
The 130 acre nature reserve really became the most perfect getaway for both human and hound. The cabins sleep 4-11 people, meaning that it can be the most romantic, family fun, celebration or just time away with your fur-family, as you like.
The Cabins
Totally blown away by the cabins and the whole feeling of the holiday, the perfect eco-friendly accommodation with great size bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen, cosy living area and amazing terrace over looking the lakes. As well as this, you'll find the lake side hot tub, woodburner, rowing boat, fire pit and BBQ....they have truly got it all covered!
Our mornings were spent lounging and sipping tea on the balcony before the the dogs had a swim in the lake, after the most relaxing bath we'd ride the bikes around the whole nature reserve while the pooches ran along by the side. The evenings were spent drinking too much prosecco while in the hot tub watching the sun go down.
The gorgeous cabins and amazing grounds are perfect for your four-legged friend, and Severus and Lily truly loved their time about at Log House Holidays. The lake is amazing for swimming, fetching the ball in and out for hours. They also loved joining us on the row boat and on the kayaks, having the best fun as a whole family.
As well as the gorgeous acres of nature reserve, the Cotswolds is known for the picturesque walks and views. They also let us know about some near by dog friendly pubs which is perfect for a lunch out or to stop by after a long walk.
There's honestly not a bad time to visit this gorgeous holiday cabin, and I know the dogs would say the same. No doubt the cabin would be amazing to get friends together in the Summer, with the warm weather over the beautiful lake. How cosy it would be in Autumn too though, with the trees covered in orange crunchy leaves and getting warmed up by the fire.
Whatever you decide, book up quickly as Log House Holidays fills up really quickly, but believe us...it's worth the wait ♥
It might have to be said that this was the best dog friendly holiday we've been on, self catering breaks are so easy with pooches and although you lose some of the luxury that may come with hotel stays, the whole feel of this break was one of peace and beauty.
Severus and Lily had such a wonderful time at Log House Holidays, having so much freedom to run and swim but also cosy up by the fire too. Spending our days on dog walks, drinking fizz in the hot tub and adventuring out onto the lake meant for such a relaxing time away......and we can not wait to do it again soon.
