Dog Friendly Cornwall with holidaycottages.co.uk

Cornwall is such a lovely place to visit, making it even better that it's so dog friendly and travelling with the Sev and Lily is my favourite thing to do.

Having been offered the chance to stay with holidaycottages.co.uk in Cornwall, our trip was soon here and on the road we went. 2 humans, 3 spaniels and too much food and drink ♥
holdiaycottages.co.uk have many gorgeous cottages and houses around Cornwall and all over the UK, even better they have dog friendly ones too, meaning it's super easy to search and book somewhere with your pooch.

The stunning Crooked Chimney Cottage was just wonderful for us, swooning over how cute and sweet it was and wishing we could stay forever.
Sev and Lily were joined by Alfie Bear this holiday, and along with his Mum, decided to plan fun days out to try and find the perfect dog friendly places to visit in Cornwall

All three dogs loved the cottage as much as Emma and I, making themselves at home as soon as the door opened.
Crooked Chimney Cottage is lovingly furnished with sweet items that are just picture perfect, all around the house, but still is full of gorgeous original features making it rather homely. There are two bedrooms with a double bed and a single, and the second room with a king size bed, great for family, friends or couples that are looking to explore the North Cornwall area.

As always, staying in a self catering cottage becomes far more dog friendly than any hotel can ever offer. Popping out to the secured little garden when needed, covering the sofas with blankets and throws provided and even being welcomed with treats, dog food & a water bowl. . As well as this cream tea and prosecco were waiting for us in the kitchen, with the sweetest little card, making our stay just perfect from the very start.

 Altarnun

The gorgeous dog friendly cottage is based on the North coast of Cornwall, in the sweet village of Altarnun. Possibly one of the prettiest in the County, and the perfect base for exploring so much of Cornwall and what it has to offer.
The stunning church, just down the road from the cottage, is where Doc Martins Wedding was filmed. It however doesn't even need that claim to fame, as as soon as you drive in it's just dreamy.
A small village shop is not far from the village as well as a pub, and only a short drive away will find you many other amenities that may be needed.

 The Wood Burner

There's always a few things to look out for when booking your dog friendly cottage, and to make it feel even more special, a fire is always on my list ♥
With a glass of wine, every evening, the fire would be lit [just about] and we'd cosy up with the pooches while relaxing and looking through all the stunning photos from the day.
Of course the Sev and Lily loved it too, spreading out and keeping as warm as possible cuddled up together before it was finally bed time.

Taking our Tuff Mutts doggy duvet on holiday was such a great idea too, not only did Alfie love it, all the dogs snuggled up on it. So much easier to take away than a full dog bed, but just as cosy and comfy too.

Bedrooms & Bathroom

Although not needed, having a king size bed in a holiday cottage is pretty lovely. Both beds were super comfy, and both Emma and I snoozed the night away, not worrying about not being at home. Both bedrooms were the perfect size, with hanging for clothes and drawer space too. The sweet but basic decoration added to the seaside cottage theme.

Another on the must have list is a bath, especially in the colder months. I just adore a bubble bath, and being on holiday is no different. The large tub at Crooked Chimney Cottage was great to relax the evening away, with too many bubbles [both in the bath and in my glass].

Overall the cottage was just what we needed for our short 3 night stay away in Cornwall. It is in such a gorgeous village, and the location to visit other wonderful towns of North Cornwall are all just a short drive away.
Sev and Lily felt so at home, and all of us felt extremely welcomed, making it even better that we came back to the cottage most evenings just so we could enjoy being there.

Thank you to holidaycottages.co.uk for the trip, Crooked Chimney Cottage is really the most perfect dog friendly holiday.
