Our time away was just what we needed with exploring the beaches in Pembrokeshire as well as relaxing in our beautiful dog friendly cottage.
Having great fun visiting as many beaches as possible and finding the best dog friendly places to warm up with a hot chocolate while the dogs dried off too.
There is a long list of Beaches in Pembrokeshire, we're sharing our most favoruite dog friendly ones with you.
Newport Beach
Visiting this beach a lot as it was a short drive from the cottage. An early morning swim or late evening ball throwing session, this beach was just perfect.
With no amenities, it literally is just for anyone who wants a walk along the seaside. However the town of Newport has a few dog friendly cafes which were very welcoming to the four legged duo.
Tenby was certainly one of our favourite beaches in Pembrokeshire. The whole town was gorgeous, with colourful houses lining the beach and a sweet feel about it all.
The beach was stunning, with a great long stretch as well as more beach around by the harbour too. Many dog friendly cafes and bars also filled the town, having the nicest hot chocolate along the seafront with the sun shining down and even finding a cafe with the best burger.
Theses beaches have dog restrictions in place through some of the year.
Newgale Beach
Another beautiful sandy beach that stretched for miles. We had such a wonderful long walk along the beach, with Severus and Lily jumping through the waves and swimming after the ball.
There was a pub along the road that we stopped out for a drink, the dogs were allowed inside if they were clean and well behaved.
This beach has dog restrictions through some of the year.
Every day was filled with the sea and and swimming [for the dogs] and the evenings filled with the roaring fire and too many glasses of wine [for the humans].
Ty Top cottage was the perfect base to explore so many beaches in Pembrokeshire, being able to relax as much as adventure was much needed for a dog friendly holiday.
