Recently we stayed even closer to home, at the sweet market town of Bradford-on-Avon. Not far from home with a feel of Bath City to it, but perfect for dog walking.
The dogs packed [and our bags too] we headed off to Timbrell's Yard, Bradford on Avon, to enjoy a dog friendly night away.
Dog Friendly Hotel: Timbrell's Yard, Bradford on Avon
We'd actually looked on this gorgeous building a few times, when it had first opened, not knowing it was dog friendly and never getting the chance to have a drink on our travels.
With such a warm welcome, Sev & Lily were greeted by their names and offered treats too, before being shown to our beautiful bedroom.
Many of the rooms are dog friendly, and this one was stunning, with an upper level for the bedroom itself while the bottom level over looked the canal with a gorgeous cosy chair and dressing table.
More treats welcomed the dogs with a lovely "woof" box that the local pet shop put together for dog friendly hotels. With treats, food, poo bags and a toy, it was the perfect addition for a night away with the pups.
Not wanting to miss the sunshine on the day, we all headed off for a dog walk along the canal and over to a great park, for Sev and Lily to have a run around before heading back to the hotel for a wine and beer in the gorgeous outdoor terrace area.
Great interiors with a mix of normal size tables and comfy lounge chairs too. The gin menu was great [so Sam says] and I was more than happy sipping away on wine with the dogs snoozing at our feet.
Both dinner and breakfast were really great, and although no extras for the pooches, we filled up enough for all! The roast dinners certainly caught our eye, so that's on the list to come back to Timbrell's Yard and try.
We really loved our stay, with such a gorgeous feel about the hotel and getting to relax with Severus and Lily by our side. Timbrell's Yard is the perfect dog friendly stay-cation.
