Widbrook Grange hotel is located just out of Bradford on Avon, a sweet town with a very Bath feel to it, right on the Avon and Kennet Canal.
The old farmhouse is a perfect getaway for human and hound, with stunning rooms, lovely food...and even better cocktails.
Widbrook Grange Hotel
The hotel itself is picture perfect, room upon room of wonderful interiors but with such a country feel too.
A light and bright conservatory, cosy lounge area and wonderfully filled bar, not having the dogs allowed in the restaurant didn't bother the trip in the slightest and they truly felt welcomed everywhere.
Not only was the building gorgeous but the grounds so pretty, with well kept gardens that the dogs were allowed to explore as well as large amounts of field at the back, perfect for a crazy spaniel run about or quick stop before bedtime.
The Bedrooms
The farmhouse interiors really shone through in the bedrooms, with rustic furniture, a bed to fit the four of us and a bath tub that called my name!
Everything was so wonderful, making it feel like it was a true treat to get away with Severus and Lily by our side.
The room was light, bright and airy and certainly big enough for the night.
Sev and Lily were welcomed with a lovely "woof" box, filled with the perfect goodies for any pet-away, such as a tennis ball, food, treats and poo bags.
The Food
Both dinner and breakfast were eaten in the Conservatory, although we were offered the lounge areas too, the tables were better for eating at and the dogs could settle by our feet.
The menu was really wonderful and the staff member on in the evening was just a joy, getting to know both us and the dogs, giving us plenty of information on what was on offer. As well as this he made me the best cocktail ever, before we enjoyed a bottle of wine with our meal.
The breakfast menu was just as lovely and included in the stay. With a selection of buffet items and juices laid out in the restaurant and a menu of items that you were able to pick and chose from...or have them all!
Sev and Lily were treated to sausages too, which was such a lovely touch to make them feel even more welcome.
The whole stay was just wonderful and ever so dog friendly, feeling so relaxed and welcomed, we could have easily stayed for the whole week and explored the area even more.
We can't wait to visit again, next time for afternoon tea
