Do you know the perfect way to spend a usual snoozy Sunday? A doggy date!
Packing up the dogs.....all six of them, and the humans too, heading to Somerset to find the most prettiest of lavender farms. The friends I have made in the dog community have become really important and lovely for me, going for spaniel dates and doggy dates out has really given us something exciting to look forward to. Although our fur-family is just perfect, having more time off work, while Sam is at work, means more time to explore without him too.
The Weekends trip consisted of a trip to Somerset Lavender, before a pub lunch, and visit to Bradford on Avon for a walk and stop at Dog House pet shop.
My lovely friend Jess joined us with Polly & Basil, whilst Emily traveled down with her cuties, Colin and Rhapsody, the perfect pack for a doggy date.
Our first stop was the pretty lavender fields, wandering around the purple flowers, hearing the bees buzz and the smell of lavender as we explored the sea of purple.
Stopping for photos along the way, whilst the dogs posed perfectly in between getting many fusses from passers by.
After lunch, we found a very inviting stream for a doggy paddle. The perfect way to cool down in the warmer weather, a quick splash before heading to Bradford on Avon.
One of my favourite Wiltshire canal side towns, with a very Bath feel to it. Filled with people on the streets, parks and shops, enjoying the sunny Sunday.
The Doghouse pet shop was first on our list, a recent re-brand and location change makes the amazing pet shop the most perfect place to visit with your pooch.
Not only an independent pet shop, but a lovely little cafe too. Even more exciting is the puppyccino, a doggy milk based drink, topped with cinnamon.
After a quick shop of treats, toys and chews, we stopped for even more photos whilst the dogs enjoyed the puppyccino's. I'd be safe to say it was 2 paws up from the pooches for this fun, but obviously yummy, dog treat.
We highly recommended Bradford on Avon for a doggy date, but even more now with this amazing pet shop, as it's a highlight of the trip.
Coffee stop done [for human and hound] we grabbed some doggy ice cream before leaving and headed for more water, before making our way home after the perfect dog friendly day ♥
