Living in Wiltshire, there are actually a few shops that are run independently, that we love to visit.
Being some what of a professional at buying gifts for fur children, I want to share two pet shops you must visit, because we just love them so much.
Two Pet Shops you Must Visit
Doghouse: Bradford on Avon
This isn't the first time that Doghouse has been mentioned on here, so it's an obvious favourite and loved by us all.
Earlier this year, Doghouse expanded and grew into a wonderful space of pet shop, cafe and groomers. Although the shop before was very much loved, it now certainly has the gold standard for pet shops.
With a mix of everything you want [and obviously very much need] in a pet shop, lovely brands, the stock is perfect for every dog lover. From jumpers and coats, toys and balls, leads and collars, treats, chews and food too.
Why we love it
With such a great mix of brands, the natural treat selection is great as well as keeping stock fresh and seasonal. Not only that but the cafe offers puppacinos [which I can only describe as crack for dogs!] pupcakes and even doggy ice cream, as well as coffee and cake for the humans too.
Every visit feels lovely and special, with great staff and service, the dogs get fussed over and it's way more than just a pet shop.
Winston James Woof: Frome
It may be second on the list but it's still very much a pet shop you must visit. Lets start with that awesome name, and the pet shop is just as awesome too.
Frome is a new town that's been visited by us, and so this pet shop is fairly new in knowledge, but oh so glad we found it.
Located up a sweet and very trendy street in Frome, Winston James Woof is a great pet shop for both dogs and their owners. The perfect mix of gifts for the pooch, and themed pet gifts for the humans- perfection.
Why we love it
With a great selection of brands, there's always something new for either myself or the dogs. The pet brands are on the independent or local side, meaning there is a lot of different and new items that may have not been discovered by you yet.
The human lifestyle gifts are really stunning....can I just link my Christmas wishlist to that store? From bags, tea cups, art work, jewellery and more- it keeps the crazy dog lady in me very happy.
Lou, the owner, is very much a girl after my own heart and I get so happy in knowing that my own pet shop would feel just like Winston James Woof. With two whippets, Lennon and Macca, she is every inch the crazy dog lady so totally understands the "buying a dog coat so Sev matches can match me" kinda moments.
