Of course Severus and Lily are always included in the Christmas plans, and it's even more special with them by our side. I wanted to share so festive and fun ideas on how to have the best Christmas with your pet, so they can get involved too.
How to have the best Christmas with your pet
Christmas Jumpers
There are so many wonderful Christmas jumpers for dogs, and even matching ones for human and hound too. Don your Christmas jumpers and head out to pick the perfect Christmas tree, taste mulled wine at the Christmas market or even go for a winter walk in the park.
If jumpers aren't the dogs style, how about a bandana or scarf to help the festive fashion.
Christmas Dinner
Lily's Kitchen do amazing Christmas gifts, from wonderful treats to amazing dog friendly advent calendars. Most of all we love the Christmas Dinner food, the three bird feast (and all the trimmings!) is a perfect way to have the best Christmas with your pet, keeping them safe while staying away from the human food.
Presents & Toys
What to buy dogs that want for nothing....there is always something. Thinking about your pet needs or spoiling them with luxury items is the perfect way to gift items to your pooch this Christmas time.
Personally, buying presents for the dogs makes me happy, and of course makes for a fun and happy Christmas for all of us.

Dog Friendly Trip
Spending time exploring and adventuring new places with Sev and Lily is a joy for us all, new smells and fun things to do, stunning locations and new hotels to test out. Dog friendly trips are a huge part of our life and never leaving the dogs behind is something we are so passionate about.
Booking a dog friendly trip with Pets Pyjamas is the perfect present and for us, it would mean having the best Christmas with your pet.
Give to Charity
Over the last few years, giving at this time of year has become really important. From small donations, to buying items that help others, being aware of others that aren't as lucky is something to think about.
This year Dogs Trust teamed up with Radley on a dog walking backpack, 15% of the profits go straight to the amazing work that Dogs Trust do. Giving, while gifting this gorgeous and practical bag is such a win-win.
For the last three years I have also put together Christmas boxes to send to Dogs Trust centres, as Alfie was a Dogs Trust dog, this year it's even more important for us to keep up the tradition. Knowing that the rescue dogs will have some love and enjoyment over Christmas, until finding their forever home, really fills my heart.
Have a dog friendly Christmas
Be sure to keep your pet safe this Christmas, with lots to look out for and hazards around it's really important to know what's best for the pooch.Alcohol is one of the toxic foods that are around at Christmas time and with 1 in 4 of our pets consuming it, Argos Pet Insurance give us some tips with dog friendly Christmas food and what to do if your pet does ingest anything over the festive season.
Other things to watch out for this Christmas is chocolate, Christmas cake with all the raisins and sultanas, festive plants like poinsettias and even the Christmas tree itself with the needles and decorations.
