Every season is an excuse to try new things, explore new places and enjoy time with your dog.
Summer Adventures With Your Dog
Kayaking
Kayaking with your dog is so much fun, and something that both Sev and Lily have really picked up quickly, enjoying jumping on when the kayaks are around and going for a paddle.
Both dogs love swimming, and will happily stay on the kayaks on small trips before jumping off for the stretch back to shore to show of their doggy paddle skills.
Visit Your Favourite Pet Shop
Thankfully around this area there are many independent pet shops that we love to visit, but our favourite at the moment is Winston James Woof, based in Frome.
Not only is the little Somerset town very dog friendly, the pet shop itself is full of luxury goodies for both human and hound. Perfect for any dog friendly day out.
Explore Open Gardens & Houses
The Spring and Summer flower gardens always make me so happy, being outside and seeing so many beautiful blooms. Many gardens allow dogs on leads and makes for a lovely fur-family day in the sunshine.
We recently visited Bowood Woodland Gardens
Watch a Sunset or Sunrise
Teamed with being at the seaside, heading down to the beach on a sunny evening to catch that golden hour is a favourite time of day.
The beaches tend to be quieter and the only distraction is two spaniels going crazy splashing in and out of the waves
Go Glamping
The best Summer Adventures with your dog are all heading on holiday, making the most of the British weather (sunshine or rain!) and travelling whilst never leaving the dogs behind.
Glamping and Camping for an affordable dog friendly trip can work really well, and have some great unique places to stay whilst being able to explore different parts of the country.
Air bnb and Canopy & Stars are both great to check out for dog friendly glamping
