Winter Time at The Seaside

Artist Residence invite us to try out their Cottage in Penzance, for a Winter stay at the seaside

Winter time at the Seaside is a one of my favourite places, be prepared to dress warm and the quiet beaches will be so worth it. The dogs never mind the weather, being the best fun Summer or Winter. There's a peace about it, and something so special to get out with the dogs for a walk on the beach in Winter.

On the most recent trip to Cornwall, Artist Residence was the perfect place to stay. Somewhere I've heard seen a lot about (check out the beautiful instagram) with hotels in Oxfordshire, London, Cornwall and Brighton.

Artist Residence in Cornwall is based in Penzance, a town that we hadn't explored before now. With a sweet highstreet and near by beaches along the coast, it's a great place to stay.

Being spoilt by staying in The Cottage, for 2-6 people that is just around the corner from the main building. With a stunning wood burner, lovely kitchenette, king size bedroom, twin or double bed and an awesome bunk bed room, as well as a copper free standing bath. Although the cottage has no outside space,  it's close to the sea and a short drive to stunning Cornish beaches.

The dogs were treated to lovely wicker baskets, that they enjoyed snoozing in and even some bowls to use whilst there. Along with some treats, it was a spaniels paradise after getting soggy at beach and drying off by the fire. 

Winter time at the Seaside can really help with having somewhere dog friendly to stay, Artist Residence was so wonderful, being allowed in the lounge and restaurant areas and with Sev and Lily get much fuss they certainly loved it too.

We enjoyed cocktails and mulled wine in the lounge on the first evening, with the Christmas tree twinkling, it felt so festive. Then heading back to make dinner, have a bath and get in pyjamas, the perfect evening.

We explored new beaches, looking out to St Michael's Mount, with the stunning sandy beaches to run along, splashing in the waves and trying to dig to China- the dogs had an amazing time with so many treats.

This stay really finished off an amazing year of so many trips to Cornwall, it's truly our favourite place. Feeling so peaceful and so free, it's a special place for us to explore as a fur family whatever the weather or season.
