Una St Ives is a gorgeous resort offering eco-lodges that are dog friendly, as well as a stunning spa and lovely restaurant and bar. Located close to Carbis Bay this dog friendly stay at Una St Ives was the perfect Weekend trip, but our time in Cornwall is never long enough.
The lodge was great for Sev and Lily, with a large amount of space and really the perfect place to bring friends and family too. With two, three and four bed lodges both with and without hot tubes, a very short walk to the spa and leisure facilities and Una Kitchen, as well as being in a gorgeous location.
Although the gardens aren't secure, there is a large amount of space straight outside the door for the dogs. The large living and kitchen areas have a cosy fire, as well as dining table and gorgeous kitchen. The outside area has a decking, which would be perfect for the warmer weather. A great porch area through the front door was great too and always needed with soggy spaniels and muddy boots, an area to hang wet coats and clean off the paws.
The bedrooms were the perfect size for a short stay, with wardrobes and drawers for the clothes. The main bedroom had an en-suite as well as a main family bathroom, with bath [which was used a lot!].
Una Kitchen is the bar and restaurant area and is dog friendly too, enjoying breakfast one day and an amazing roast dinner the next. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner the area is lovely and perfect for a quick drink or yummy meal. Breakfast was great and going at a quite time meant being able to have their blanket by our feet and settling with a chew.
Una Kitchen has a wood fire pizza oven, where the roast is done too [it was amazing!] a selection of cocktails and mocktails as well as smoothies for breakfast and a great menu for all times of day.
Honestly these little breaks are perfect to refresh, feel motivated with pretty content to create and enjoy time doing little things that are so important. Life can feel really rushed and my head can get fuzzed, spending time with the dogs doing nothing is really special and something important to reset and keep mentally healthy.
Whilst on our dog friendly stay at Una St Ives, the days were filled with long walks and early evenings by the fire. Visiting favourite places around the area including Trelissick National Trust with stunning walks, Natural Cornish Pet Shop for amazing chews and treats and getting festive wandering around a Christmas tree farm too.
A new beach visited was Carbis Bay, very close to Una Resort and then walked through to St Ives. The beach was gorgeous and the walk along the coastal path was stunning and a great hike for both humans and hounds.
